Content Guidelines & Community Standards

Welcome to Akurium — a place to showcase your collections, big or small, strange or beautiful, personal or public. To keep this a creative and respectful space for everyone, we’ve outlined some simple rules about what you can and can’t post here.

What’s Allowed

Akurium is open to all kinds of collections, including:

• Books, toys, games, tools, tech
• Fashion, vintage items, memorabilia
• Knives, military gear, body mods (with proper context)
• Art, photography, film, erotica, oddities

We believe in expressive freedom, with limits to keep things safe, lawful, and respectful for everyone — especially younger or more sensitive viewers.

What’s Not Allowed (And Will Be Removed)

Some content has no place here. We reserve the right to remove anything that includes:

• Graphic violence, gore, or disturbing imagery
• Hate symbols, hate speech, or glorification of racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.
• Harassment, threats, or doxxing of others
• Ads, spam, or promotional content (this isn’t Craigslist)
• Pornography or sexually explicit images (e.g., genitals, sex acts)
• Illegal content of any kind (we reserve the right to report it if necessary)

Mature Content Policy

Some collections may feature mature or sensitive material. That’s okay — as long as it’s clearly labeled.

Creators must mark items or collections as “Mature” if they include:

• Nudity (even artistic or vintage)
• Weapons
• Content meant for adult audiences
• Strong language (e.g., explicit lyrics, zines, etc.)

Mature content will be blurred or hidden behind a viewer warning unless you’ve confirmed your age and chosen to view such material.

Not sure if it’s mature? Ask yourself this: could it be problematic if an adult found you showing your collection to a 13-year-old? If so, mark it mature.

Reporting & Enforcement

We rely on our community to help keep Akurium a safe and welcoming place.

Every item and collection includes a Report button.

You can flag content for reasons like: Nudity / Porn · Violence / Gore · Hate Speech · Spam / Ads · Other

When a piece of content receives multiple (4+) reports, it may be automatically hidden while we review it.

Repeat or egregious violations will lead to account suspension or permanent bans.

Content Removal & Account Bans

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines, and to warn, suspend, or ban accounts that:

• Repeatedly break the rules
• Refuse to mark mature content properly
• Post hateful, violent, or pornographic material
• Spam the platform
• Evade bans or manipulate reporting systems

We may issue warnings first, but for serious cases we will remove content or ban users without notice.

"But What About My First Amendment Rights?"

Let’s break it down simply:

The First Amendment protects your right to express yourself from government censorship. It does not give you the right to post anything you want on a privately run website.

Akurium is privately operated. You’re welcome to curate your collection, but you’re not entitled to a platform here if you violate our policies. You agreed to these rules by using the service. If they don’t work for you, this may not be the right place.
