Distinct eras of hi-hats and approaches to the instrument. This collection moves from a compact 12-inch Zilco made in 1943, through an early-1980s pair of Sabian Regular Hats, to the dark, heavily worked surfaces of Istanbul Agop’s Signature series, and more on the rack to be documented here.

Together, they show how differences in diameter, profile, finish, and age give each pair its own character. The marks, patina, and fading logos are part of the appeal: visible evidence of instruments made to be played!
